How We All Succeed
Members, Providers, and Health Care Companies Working Together
Turning a complex revenue model into a video everyone could understand
Format & tools: Powtoon
Time: 8 mins
How We All Succeed is an animated video that translates the complex healthcare-financing model into a clear, engaging, plain-language learning experience. The project began when our organization Senior VP leader identified a common organizational knowledge gap: employees across roles and tenure levels did not fully understand how the company is paid or how that model connects to the work they do.
Starting with only a brief request from my director, I led the project from concept through delivery. Drawing on more than eight years with the organization and nearly 30 years of healthcare experience, I identified the essential concepts, organized the story into a learner-friendly narrative, wrote the script, and developed the animated video in Powtoon.
The initial five-minute draft received exceptionally strong feedback. At the request of the Senior VP, I then partnered with a SME in value-based care to validate the content, refine the messaging, and strengthen the explanation of key payment and contract concepts. The final eight-minute video turned a complicated operational topic into an accessible learning experience for employees at every level.
The finished video is now assigned through the LMS as part of onboarding for employees and remains available to employees seeking a clearer understanding of the organization’s business model. Its success also led to additional video-development projects.
